Advanced Student instruments are built to the same high standards as the Professional Master-Grade model, and often meet and exceed the demands of collegiate / conservatory players.

Performance  degree candidates find the Advanced Student violin highly desirable, and affordable.

Student model instruments are made from  quality North  American varieties of Spruce and Maple. They are easier to obtain, and modestly priced when compared to the imported varieties.

Gammuto hand-made instruments hold their value, and are easily re-sold when it becomes necessary to upgrade to a professional instrument.  If you maintain your instrument properly, you may also consider trading it back to me for the price you paid for it. 

The "Advanced Student" model offers the serious student a mature, warm sounding instrument at a reasonable price. Made with traditional Italian construction techniques and varnish.  Englemann, or Sitka Spruce is used for the top sound plate, and  beautifully figured  Curly Maple for the matched back, neck, and sides. These instruments are heads and shoulders above imported factory made instruments. Pprofessional grade accessories are installed on the instruments. They Represent Great Value!!!!

Price: $1,800.00 - Note that these instruments are not always available. I build them in very limited quantity. Most are made on a commisioned basis, or have been traded back to me for an upgrade to a professional model.

Fractional Sized Instruments by Commission Only.  A 50% deposit, and two months lead time is required. They are just about as much work too build as a full size instrument, for significantly less money. It is a labor of love that provides young people with the opportunity to develop their musical skills at a much earlier age. Fractional instruments may be ordered in the following sizes only; 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 7/8. Costs range from $500 for the 3 smaller sizes up to $1,200 for the 2 larger sizes. Each comes with an entry level bow, and modestly priced carry case.
